Barbara Flaherty is a poet, writer, and editor whose journey through the literary world has been marked by a profound love for the written word in all its forms. With years of experience in crafting compelling narratives and refining the works of others, Barbara has established herself as a trusted voice in the literary community. Her passion for storytelling and dedication to the art of editing have inspired countless writers to find their unique voices and share their stories with the world.  Barbara Flaherty’s poetry and essays have been published in both print and ebooks, literary journals, anthologies, and encyclopedias. Her books include the poetry collection, Holy Madness, a Memoir in Verse (Chanting Press 2006), and Doing It Another Way: The Basic Text, a reflection on Franciscan spirituality (Chanting Press 2007). She is a winner of the Drogheda Poetry Prize Ireland. She engages in the shamanic and oracular traditions in oral and written poetry, a tradition that includes such writers as Whitman, Eliot, Maria Sabrina, Robert Bly, and Mary Oliver. Barbara is the current editor of the literary journal, Manifestations: an International Art & Literary Journal Writing Across the Spiritual Traditions.
